美しいメロディと温まるサウンドのフォークシンガーの
ジョンデンバーのすばらしいベストアルバム。
初めて聞く方や長く聞いていない方をはじめ、私のような
３０年も聞いている人にもあきることのないメロディばかりです。
ベスト２０曲の収録に加えて、ボーナストラック７曲が収録されて
この価格ですから、買って損はないすばらしいアルバムです。
解説書はジョンデンバーのデビュー当時からのエピソードなども
詳しく書かれていて、これを読むだけでジョンデンバーファンの仲間入りです。
悲しみのジェットプレーンのデモやフォロ・ミーなどはこのアルバムしか聞けないだけに
かなりのお薦めなアルバムです。

5.0 out of 5 stars 時を超えて永遠に聞き継がれる名曲たち, 2005/8/26
~30年振りに聞いたジョンの声は、やっぱり明るくって優しくって、温かかった。この声は不滅です。個人的には「故郷の詩」から入ってしまったので、初めて聞くオリジナルの「悲しみのジェットプレーン」や「詩と祈りと誓い」なんかは新鮮でした。オリジナルの方が少し明るい感じかな。名曲の「故郷へかえりたい」「太陽を背にうけて」が素晴らしいのは当たり前と~~して、「ロッキーマウンテンハイ」「すばらしきカントリー・ボーイ」「アイム・ソーリー」と言った曲の素晴らしさに改めて感動してしまいました。個人的には「わが故郷アスペン」や「ライムズ・アンド・リーズンズ」なんかも入っていて欲しかったなぁ。近いうちに「故郷の詩」を買ってしまいそうです。
ジョンの歌は、ちょっと聴いて忘れていってしまうよう~~なものではなく、息長くこれからも多くの人に聞き継がれていくものだと思います。~

ジョンが、いなくなってからも、ＣＭなどで、彼の澄んだ歌声が流れると、思わず聞き入ってしまう。
　９．１１以降の混沌とした時代に、もしまだ彼が生きていたらどのようなメッセージを、世界に発信しただろうかと思うと、彼の死が惜しまれる。
　このＣＤは、ジョン・デンバーを知らない人にも、入門編として最適です。また、クリスマスプレゼントにも最適な一枚です。
