何でこんなに聴いてて気持ちいいのかなと考えると、主な原因はカエラ
お嬢さんの「声」にあるのでは、と思います。
感情を込めて歌うと基本的に声はべったりと湿度が高くなるものです
が、彼女の場合はカラっとしています。明らかにロック向きの声です。
どちらかというと、「湿度高め」な声の歌手が多いこの時代に彼女が
注目されたのはある意味必然だったのかもしれませんね。

最初に2枚目を聴いてビックリしてしまい、聴いてみました。曲もいい、バンドもいい、全曲自分の作詞、拘りは1枚目の本作から感じられます。
シングルカットされた『ハピネス』等、覚えやすい曲も多いですが、もともと彼女がすきなんだろうパンクっぽい曲も得意の英語でかつバックビートの太い声で聴かせてくれます。
とにかく成長を続ける彼女。2作目、3作目もよくできているし、これがすべてのスタートだったということで星4〜4.5かなあというところですが、十分楽しめる仕上がりなのでオマケで星5つ。

　saku saku での印象しかなかったので、アイドル系(モデル系？)のＣＤかと思ってました。しかし一曲目、Untie からいい意味で大きく期待を裏切ってくれました!!　
　You know you love me? のメロディーは最高にポップでロックだし、
INVENTORは歌詞が面白い。What ever are you looking for? は胸が切なくなるような名曲。
　あの頃 や 誰 などのつなぎ曲もちゃんと丁寧に作ってあるから、シングルのhappiness!!!やLevel 42がアルバムの中で浮かないようになっている。ラスト sola の終わり方も微笑ましい感じで、ある意味、完璧に計算されたアルバムかもしれません。
　ただ唯一難点を挙げるならバックの音質の悪さ。ちょっと曇った感じがしました。高音とBASSを少し上げてやるとよりいい感じのアルバムになります。
　
　これからの木村カエラの「ロックヴォーカリスト」としての成長に期待大です。
