野生動物、野鳥を主に撮っています。F3からの移行です。
第一印象はファインダーが大きく明るく大変見やすいことです。
VRの長玉を付け鳥の写真を撮っていたとき動きの早い鳥にもフォーカスがピタリと合い露出も適正でした。
これなら機械に気をとられず鳥を追うことが出来ます。
また今までのAi MFのレンズも焦点距離と開放ｆ値をカメラに登録すれば開放測光及びRGBマルチパターン測光が行え
今までの気に入っているMFレンズも普通に使えるので大変気に入っているところです。
ただ、取説を読み使い方を覚えるのが少し大変でした。

店頭での第一印象：
ちっちゃいのでわたしの持っているF100の後継機種かと見間違えました。
勿論、マルチパワーパックを取り付ければ、F5のように大きくなり、
８コマ/秒の連射が可能です。

造りがしっかりしていて、手動巻き戻しクランクがあるのがF一桁シリーズの証。
ファインダー視野率が100%ですが、従来のFシリーズとは違い、
ファインダー自体は取り外しできません。普通の方には必要ないとの
判断でしょう。
わたしも古いF2を所有していますが、素人には、外れれば、
掃除しやすい程度ですね。
基本性能はもとより、測光方式の進歩、11点フォーカス、豊富な
カスタムメニュー等。　
ボディ内蔵のマルチコントロールバックはちょっと小さめな気が
しました。

この時代に銀塩カメラ、しかもニコンF一桁シリーズを出す勇気。
カタログにも書かれているように、日本のカメラの”責任と宿命”
を背負っているカメラなのでしょうね。ちょっと高いけど、
所有したいカメラですね。
ニコンさん、マルチバックを交換したら、最高級デジカメになる
ようなオプションできませんか？外付けでも良いから、
F6を両刀使いにしてやってください。
