   ニューイングランド州ペンデルトン大学で「都市のルールを知らない者には罰が下る」と、民俗学のウェクスラー教授（ロバート・イングランド）が都市伝説への注意を促す中、学生たちが次々と謎の死を遂げていった。すべては都市伝説が原因ではないかないかと感づいたナタリー（アリシア・ウィット）は、学生記者ポール（ジャレッド・レト）とともに独自の調査を始めるが…。

他のティーン向けサスペンスは、犯人の殺人の理由が取ってつけたような感じでしらけるのだが、これは犯人に正当な理由があって納得できる。ストーリーの展開もよく最後まで飽きさせない。カメラワークも一線を越えている。冒頭の作りもよくて、ここら変は某テレビ番組でも
かなり使い回されていたほど。DVD買っても損は無いです。

都市伝説が題材の映画だからその方面の好きな人には面白い映画だと思います。私はそういうのが好きですから楽しかったですが、日本の都市伝説とは違うので日本人には一般的にはあんまりなじみのない話でないかなーというのが感想でしたね。しかし車の後部座席の斧男とか日本と共通の都市伝説もありますので楽しめるかな？買って損はしないでしょうが買わなくても損はしないかもしれません。話のつくりはしっかりしていますからその点は安心です。

ここのレビュー見て結構期待して観たがなんだこりゃ?
面白いと言ってる人が多いからといって,自分も面白いと思うかはわからないということを思い知った作品。
ドキドキハラハラがまったくない。誰もかれも怪しく見えるってとこまではいいのに,何度も殺人鬼が現れることで台無し。殺人鬼の存在感がショボすぎる。もっと圧倒的な存在感にして欲しかった。 最後までどうなるかわからないドキドキ感を出して欲しかった。 学園物のホラーならパラサイトのほうが全然面白い。あっちの方がいかにも学校って感じが出てて良い。
