とにかくＯＰの作画の良さは特筆もの、　
秒間30フレームで作画されているので動きも滑らかだ。　
これほどの出来は指折りだと思う。　
ただどうしても気になってしまうのは、　
名曲「鳥の詩」が理解できない編集をされている点。　
これだけはどうしても納得がいかない。　
そしてもう一つは、DVDへの収録が悪すぎること。　
・動きのあるシーンで量子化歪みが大量発生　
・色情報が下方にだいぶズレている　
・輝度が高く若干飛んでしまっている　
この３点がどうしても気になってしまう。　
これらが本編収録の時に起こらなければいいのだが・・・　
ポニーキャニオンさんのその他の作品でもわりと目立つのでダメかも知れない・・・　
願いが届いてくれれば嬉しいのだが・・・
　
作画だけ見れば文句なく☆☆☆☆☆　だが鳥の詩や収録に気になる点が目立ってしまい-1で残念ながら☆☆☆☆とした。　
人気作品だけに期待されている方も多くどうなってしまうのかやきもきされる方も多いだろう・・・　
本編では是非とも五つ星を与えたいのだが、いったいどうなることやら。　
　
あまり関係ないが何故緑川さんではなくなったのかは謎。

3.0 out of 5 stars AirのBS放映が楽しみ・・でもちょっと短かった, 2004/12/15
オープニングの美しい映像にこれはという期待が・・・時間にして数分でしょうかこの気持ちは高まったのですが、後は声優さんの紹介、BSiの映像がほとんどで、それなりに楽しめたのですができればもう少し見せてくれればよかったのですが。これが星が足りない理由です。

声優インタビューでも言っているように、絵が綺麗です。
製作者インタビューでも気をつけていると言っているように、
細かな演出が入ってます。
詳細に描かれた雲が動いたり、
地面が暑くて背景が蜃気楼で揺れたり。
おそらくCGを使う事によって効果的な演出をしていると思われます。
キャラもよく動いています。
往人の声優さんも悪くないです。

AIRテレビアニメーションも期待できそうです。
