西本さんのＤＶＤの中で私は「火の鳥」が一番お気に入りです。
もちろん、「ボレロ」も「展覧会の絵」も西本さんの表情の魅力は満載です。
鑑賞する人の西本さんへのイメージによっても「私の一番はこれ」と様々だと思います。
現実世界と少し距離を持ちながら展開される様々な音楽感情が透明感のある色彩を放って、西本さんの持つ資質のひとつとすごくあっているように感じました。ダイナミックで世俗的人間的雰囲気を醸し出す西本さんも一方ではありながら、どこまでも幻想的、神話的世界の住人となる西本さんもいると思います。このあたりは従来の男性指揮者がなかなか及ばない領域かもしれません。

ロシアでも西本さんのコンサートは満席なのですね。
１曲１曲の演奏後、会場がものすごくわいていて、手渡されるお花が大変に多く、西本さんが抱えきれないお花を、コンサートマスターが西本さんに抱えさせてあげている光景がほのぼのとしていて、西本さんと”ミレニウム”の方々とのご関係がよくわかるなーと思いました。
西本さんファンのみならず、そういった”良い関係”の指揮者とオーケストラの演奏をじっくり聴きたい方にはお勧めの一枚だと思います。

とってもきれいな…というか、男前というか、特殊な燕尾服をまとい、まるで宝塚のトップスターのようなとってもカッコイイ姿で、絵的に美しすぎます！映画のワンシーンのようです。
ロシアは音楽に非常に厳しい国で、駄目ならブーイング、良ければブラボーの嵐と聞きました。そのロシアで高く評価されている日本人でしかも女性の西本さんの指揮は必見です。人生観が変わりました。
曲目も、３曲ともクラシックをあまり聴かない方でも聴いたことのある曲で、迫力がありいい曲ばかりです。ビジュアルで見たい方も、音楽を楽しみたい方もお勧めです！
