この「伝説のフォークライブシリーズ」は、VOL.1~VOL.3まで3枚発売されていますが、私は3枚とも買いました。いずれも2時間程度の内容で、しかも各アーティストの代表曲が1999年当時のライブで見れます。70年代のフォークが好きな方なら3枚とも「買い」だと思います。

このVOL.1ですが、高田渡編は、京都の磔々で収録されています。高田渡がメインの曲が10曲、いとうたかおがメインの曲が3曲、シバが2曲、村上律が1曲、中川イサトが2曲、中川五郎が2曲という構成です。
高田渡のパートは、映画「タカダワタル的」を思い出させてくれます。
ステージでのしゃべりも入っていますが、ちょっと聞き取りにくい感じです。

三上寛編は、東京でのライブで、一人でギター（アコースティックではない）を弾きながら、「夢は夜開く」や「パンティーストッキングのような空」など彼の代表曲5曲が収められています。

元々テレビ番組用のものですので、間にインタビューが入ったりしますが、そういう場合にありがちな、曲が途中で途切れることはなく完奏状態で収められています。その点でも好感が持てます。

京都でも老舗のライブハウス｢磔磔｣にて、70年代に活躍した関西系のフォークの有名人たちが同窓会に様な雰囲気での90年代のライブ。ギターを中川イサト・ピアノを竹田裕美子･スチールギターを村上律・ベイスギターを大庭珍太など、すばらしいミュージシャンをバックにして高田渡・いとうたかお・シバ・ほか、順に演奏をする。とても温かなサウンドと雰囲気をかもし出しているライブである。ミシシッピ・ジョン・ハート風の雰囲気でギターを奏でる高田渡さんのぼそぼそ話が懐かしい。今はもう聴くことができない。いとうたかおさんの「行きたいところがあるんだ」「位置をかえすわってみても」は、個人的に大好きで聴き応えがあります。
