横浜や都内を中心に活動中のジャム・バンドのデビュー作。ジャズというフィルターを通しつつ、持ち味である煌めくようなメロディと、難度Eの複雑な楽曲もサラッと聴かせる腕はタダモノでなし。楽器同士が渾然一体となり、フックの効いたサウンドはかなり刺激的。

心地よい響きというものがある。たとえば打ち寄せる波の音だとか鳥のさえずりだとか。横浜出身の4人組、スペシャル アザーズが鳴らすサウンドもそんな気分にさせてくれる。インプロを主体に、ジャズやジャム・バンドに影響を受けたというスタイル(結果、音響派的アプローチになってるものも)。これは初のミニ・アルバムだ。共同生活をしながら8日間で作られたこのアルバムには、カラフルでナチュラルな喜びを喚起するサムシングが詰まっている。音と楽しく戯れている、そのグッド・ヴァイヴがひしひし伝わってくるのだ。 (上田健二) --- 2004年11月号

PhishやMMWなどに影響を受け、らぞくやMeltoneといったJamBandと活動をリンクしながらもそういったバンドとはまた違う感触を持つ彼ら。凄い事やってんだけど聴きやすい、乗りやすいっていう希少なバンドです。
去年からロックフェスに出演も増えているこれから期待の彼らの魅力が詰まった（曲数は少ないが曲が長めなので）手応えのある作品です。

俺はこんな感じめっちゃめちゃ好きです。とにかく音が綺麗だ…。だからってお上品な枠に入る範疇の音じゃ無い。ジャムりつつ・メロディアスに・そして個々がそれぞれの相棒(楽器)を愛してんだな〜って位1音1音が丁寧。俺はベースが好きなんだけどさ、ベースもギターもハジき方に気ぃ使ってるゎ。見習わなきゃな〜。Cacaoが好きです。とりあえずこんな曲作ってくれて…あざーす(others)!!

さいきんＦＡＮになったもので

新譜から逆走してスペアザの曲をむさぼってます。

最近の曲から比べると

何かとても攻撃的な感じで

良いです。

マニアックさも織り込まれているように感じられました。

この曲数が自分にはとても心地よく
何度も聴いてしまいます。

新旧ともにスペアザはカッコいいバンドです。
