    このタイトルのCDは6種類のマスターが存在しています。
    ・CD当初のアナログ2chマスターのデジタルマスタリング盤
    ・1990年のアナログ・マルチ・トラックからと思われるリミックス盤
    ・アナログ2chマスターからのリマスターのモービル盤
    ・1996年のアナログ2chマスターからの20bitリマスター盤
    ・今回のアナログ・マルチ・トラックからのはずのDSDマスタリング盤
    ・今回のDSD→PCM変換によるSACDのCD層
    音質は★で表すと、順に、★、★★★、★★★★★、★★★、★★★★★、★★★★といった感じでしょうか。
    SACDとCDとを比較するのは不公平かもしれないですが、
    以外にも今回のCD層は音が良いので、CDとして聴いても充分だと思います。

    LPでも擦り切れる程聴いた。１曲目のI LOOKED AWAYからﾗｽﾄの庭の木
    まで、それこそ吸い付くようにして聴いては感じ入っていた。
    もう今は昔、ちょうどｸﾘｽﾏｽ前の今頃にFMで桑田さんがｹﾞｽﾄに呼ばれ
    彼の愛する思い出の曲の話や初のｿﾛｱﾙﾊﾞﾑの曲を紹介していた。
    その中でこのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑのﾀｲﾄﾙ曲の話が出た。　今は奥方に納まっている
    原坊が音楽ｻｰｸﾙの１年後輩で入ってきたが全く相手にしていなかった。
    それが、ある日彼女が「長らく弾いてないなー」と言いつつﾋﾟｱﾉの前に
    座り、そこでいきなり始まったのがLAYLAの後半のﾌﾚｰｽﾞ。
    ｼﾞﾑｺﾞｰﾄﾞﾝ？だったかが弾いていたあの印象的なﾋﾟｱﾉを愛して止まぬか
    の如くに愛惜しんで弾く姿に
    「まるで雷に打たれたみたいになっちゃって」と苦笑しつつ、その後
    お二人は徐々に接近して行ったそうな。音楽に包まれた人間性みたいな
    ものにたまらなく惹かれた由。ちょっと良い話だと思いませんか？
    で、影響されたある物好きな男性は自らの結婚披露宴のお開きに
    その「LAYLA」の後半部分をBGMに使いましたとさ。目出度し目出度し。

    今まで聴きなれていたレイラが5.1Chサラウンドで聴くとまた印象が一変。
    特にギターが分離するので、今まで埋もれていた音まではっきり聞こえます。
    ドラムは前後ろに分かれてまさにドラムセットの中心で聞いているようです。
    他の音は大体ギター、ベース、ボーカルは前、キーボード、バックコーラスは後という感じです。
    中でもやはり「レイラ」のサラウンドは素晴らしい。
    名曲度合いにさらに磨きがかかる超ド級サウンドだと断言します。
    聴ける環境を持っている人は買わないと後悔しますよ。
    あと、プラケースがCDケースとDVDオーディオケースの中間みたいなもので
    新鮮でかっこいいです。
