一つのテーマに絞った製品なので
それ以外のものを組み上げるのにはあまり向きませんが
こと、街並みを再現することにかけては
他のどんな積み木より簡潔で、彩りも豊かなそれらしいものが出来上がります。

材質はプラスチックで、空洞なので軽く
子供でも扱い易い点がまた良いと思いました。

まだ乳児である次男用に取り寄せましたが
さすがにまだ扱えるわけも無く、
その代わりに６歳の長男がハマッてしまいました。
パーツ構成が工夫されているせいか
６歳児如きが予想以上に巧く街並みを構築してみせます。
上手に出来ると、またさらに楽しくなるようで
拙宅に届いた日から、このレビューを書く今日まで
このセットで遊ばない日がまだ無いくらいです。

非常に残念なのは付属する道路地図のようなシート。
街並みを構築する点において重要かつ有効となるパーツですが
非常に脆く、すぐに欠損したり破れたりしてしまいます。
子供の扱いが乱暴だったのかと思いましたが、
親が片づけを手伝った際、ちょっと力を入れて引っ張ったら
簡単に破れてしまいました。
裏側から粘着テープを貼るなどし、なんとか持たせていますが
もう少し丈夫な材質であったら良いと思いました。

あと、別売りでも良いので積み木パーツを増やせたり、
マップも別パターンが用意されていれば
さらに楽しみが広がるのではないかと思いました。
