このバンドに出会って初めて、スクリーモというジャンルを知り、興味を
持ちました。そんなわけで以来、スクリーモ系と呼ばれているアーティス
トのCDを聞きあさっているんですが、やっぱコレのインパクトに勝るのは
なかなかないですね。（一番初めに聴いたから、ってのもあるけど）

このアルバムを聴いてちょっと思ったのは、音楽って技術の高さとかで
良し悪しが決まるもんじゃないんだなーということです。
ヴォーカルも演奏も、特別上手というわけじゃないんでしょうけど
こんなにも自分が心動かされたのは、ものすごく感情的な音楽だから。

よく、日本語の歌詞じゃないとちゃんと伝わらないからダメだのなんの
って話がありますが、んなことないんじゃないんかな。
リスニング能力は無に等しい自分ですが、On My Own聴いた時は不覚にも
泣きそうになりました。すごい絶叫を繰り返しながらも、時には繊細で優
しい歌声を聴かせるバートの不意打ちにヤラレたみたいです。
ほんとに音楽に魂が込められてると言語の違いとか関係ない、って気持ち
にさせられました。大袈裟かな？
そこまで考えなくても普通にカッコイイ曲も多く、いいアルバムだと思います。

ニューアルバム「In Love And Death」が発売されたThe Usedです。
新アルバムはポップなカンジでまたいいのですが、
原点となるこのアルバム以上のものはないと思います。
人気が出る以前の孤独感、ピュアな切望がストレートに
美しいストリングスと共に歌われています。
アルバム後半の曲の連続はとても美しく、
感情にうったえてきて、感動に値します。
ここまで美しい曲は今まで聴いたことがありません。
一度は聴いてみるべきアルバムです。

初めて聞いた時このシャウトすげーとおもった。それでいて地声は突き抜けるようにきもちがいい、メロディはキレイでエモーショナル、聞いていてなんか胸をかきむしられる感じがたまらないとおもう、普通のエモはあまり聞かないけど、USEDはかなりすきです。早くライブに行きたい。
