ソロ6部作で最も「ロック」な仕上がりで、
言い方を替えれば歪んだギターでパワーコードをかき鳴らすといった種類の音楽。
ジョンのシャウトもたっぷり聴けます。
特筆すべきはトラック5の"Look on"のギターソロ。
神がかっているとしか言いようのない最高のソロです。
もしこのソロの部分だけCDになって売っていたとしても買うでしょう。

本作は再びジョシュ・クリングホッファ-との共作ということですが、ダークでへヴィでものすごくカッコいいロックアルバムになっています。ジョンはもちろん、ジョシュのプレイもとても良いです。へヴィな曲もバラードも素晴らしいと思います。ゲストにマーズヴォルタのオマーが一曲ギターで参加していますが彼も強烈な個性の持ち主、クレジットを見るまでもなく音でわかっちゃいます。
彼のソロアルバムで私が一番うれしいのはジョンのボーカルがたくさん聴けることです。もちろんギタリストとしても素晴らしいのですが、私はジョンのなんとも言えない深みある歌声もとても好きです。それは彼の通ってきた道を思うとなおさら感慨深いです。
今作は、間違いなく六連作のハイライトになると思います。いや、この調子ならまだわかんないか。ジョンのことですし。
