WindowsXPが販売されるリミットが近づいてきたので購入しました。

Windows2000を使っていたため、XPにアップグレードした場合の
アプリケーションの互換性が気になっていましたが、問題なく
使えています。

ただ、WindowsXPはSATAのドライバが無いなど、アップグレード時に
いろいろな障害があるようですので、事前に調べてからアップグレード
したほうがいいと思います。

別マシンでHomeを使っていて安定性が気に入ったので、MEだったノートパソコンに導入。
やっとXPになって「使える」OSになった、と実感。
何より落ちません。
そして動作もまあまあスピーディ。
LibrettoL2でCPUはCrusoe600Mhz、メモリは追加して256MBです。
メモリこれ以下じゃきついかも。
Proの機能「オフラインフォルダ」と「リモートデスクトップ」は、悩みました。
なじぇって、オフラインフォルダはノートパソコン側で使いたいし、リモートデスクトップはPRo側にしか接続できないので、デスクトップ側に入れたい。
仕方なく、リモートデスクトップのようなことは他にフリーソフトもあるし、ノートに入れるので落ち着きました。
ちょっと値段は高いよね。

何かと低く見られがちなアップグレード版ですが、私はこちらの方が好きです。
通常版は新規インストールできるのが特徴ですが、アップグレード版でも対象ＣＤが手元にあれば同じく新規インストールできます。その上、その名の通りアップグレードもできます。^.^
なにより安いのが良いですね。
