port of notesの活動停止中に畠山さんがリリースしたソロアルバム、wild and gentleのイメージは、個人的に今まで彼女の作品に抱いていた、オシャレで心地良い音楽というイメージとは違い、想いの伝わる感動する音楽、というものでした。
このevening glowは、その影響がいい意味で出ているように感じました。
某インタビューによると、畠山さんはその辺は意識していたようですが、小島さんもその想いを反映させた音創りをしています。
例えば2.3.等は、port of notesらしさが失われずに深みが増した典型的な楽曲ではないでしょうか。
個人的にはこれから更に聴き込んでいって印象がどう変わっていくか楽しみです。

Port Of Notesの聞き方はエンヤのCDの聞き方に似ている。BGMとして使うことが多い。ドライブのときガチャガチャした音楽を聴いた後飽きて、よくこうゆうCDを流して楽しんでる。歌とギターとメロディでよくこれだけお洒落な雰囲気が作れるものなのか。音楽の神秘です。BGMといいましたが、けっして悪い意味でいっているのではない。高級なBGMです。
　そういえば『まなざし』が中森○菜の「セカンド・ラブ」に似ていて少しニヤリとしました。メンバーの基礎知識はまったく無いのですが、「同世代かも」という意味でニヤリ。
