   円谷プロが1993年に制作したTVシリーズ。サイバーワールドを舞台に、悪の権化と正義のヒーローが対決するという新しい世界観を打ち出しており、初期のCG映像をも取り込んだその映像はなかなか斬新。
   あらゆる次元をワープして破壊と殺戮を繰り返す魔王カーンデジファーがハイパーワールドから脱走し、地球のコンピューターに侵入。コンピューターワールドを破壊して地球支配を目的とするカーンデジファーは、さまざまな怪獣をコンピューターワールドに送り込む。地球に飛来したエージェント・グリッドマンは、正義の心を持った直人少年と合体し、実体化した怪獣と闘いに挑む。
   後に平成ウルトラマンシリーズを盛り立てる河崎郷太、小中和哉、神澤信一といった監督たちが参加しているあたりにも注目。（斉藤守彦）

　円谷プロ久々の“ウルトラ以外”の巨大ヒーロー。
　低予算への対策のため、怪獣出現の世界はコンピュータープログラムが実体化した異世界“コンピューターワールド”に限定されていますが、円谷ならではの優れたミニチュアワークは、決して嘘臭さを感じさせません。

　また、メインターゲットが未就学児童であるためストーリーラインは単純化されていますが、これまた円谷ならではのテーマ性は、深読みすれば年長者でも楽しめる事間違いないでしょう。

20世紀の特撮作品の中でも1、2位を争う作品だと思います。アクションもウルトラマンとかと比べて迫力もあるし、怪獣のデザインもかなりイケてます。
だけど、主人公の演技が下手くそなのが、ちょっと残念です。でも、それ以外は全然大丈夫なので、一度見てほしいものです

僕はこのグリッドマンは小さい頃ビデオを借りて見ていました。シノビラー、メカギラルス、ニセアノシラスなんかは今でも覚えています。今回グリッドマンがDVDになると聞いたので、買おうとは思っていますが、お金が少ないので、正月辺りに買おうと思います。
