このシリーズについて

   1976年の発行以来、高い人気を保ちながら世界中で読み続かれている絵本『はらぺこあおむし』（エリック・カール作）をモチーフにしているシリーズ。
   絵本では、生まれたてのあおむしが、くだものやチョコレートケーキ、はてはサラミまで、とにかくよく食べながら一日一日を過ごしていき、やがて美しい蝶になるまでの様子が描かれている。
   単なる成長物語に留まらず、食べ物や曜日、数の概念が理解でき、また何と言ってもダイナミックな色使いで描かれた絵が放つ世界観が、子どもから大人までを魅了して止まない理由といえそうだ。

最重度の知的障害児（１０歳）の我が子は　ふつうの子と興味がかなり違いますが、色と形には反応をします。だからパズルは好き！じっくり見て　ひとりでさいごのピースをパチッとはめたとき　充実した様子で　ためいきひとつ。「はらぺこあをむし」は養護学校の　劇と運動会で発表し自宅へも絵本を教材として持ち帰っています。エリック・カールさんの作品は個性的で精神的な癒し効果もある気がします。馴染み深い作品と息子の興味が一致し　母子でコミミケーションもでき　とてもうれしい。絵本も好きになってくれたらなーって親の欲もあり。長く愛用しますね。

うちの子供が３歳くらいのとき、とても好きだったパズルです。あおむしは関節（？）ごとに型抜きされています。絵本そのままの色合いも素敵。子どもたちにはこういう、色鮮やかできれいなものをいっぱい見せてあげたいですね。

3歳8ヶ月の娘に買い求めました。ジグゾーパズルは3つ目なのでもう遊び方も心得たものです。実家に預けるときなど、持って行くのにかさばらず軽いですしｇｏｏｄです。シンプルな遊びは大人とも、年上のいとことも一緒にお互い無理せず遊べて、その点も気に入ってます。難点は入っていた袋。ちゃちで破けてしまいそう。口にのりもついているタイプで単なる包装としての袋で終わっています。完成した形で収納できる厚めの塩化ビニール（？）を採用して欲しいです。そうすれば、飾っておけるし、ピースだって紛失しにくいと思うのですが。
