僕は、20代の学生ですが、70〜90年代の数多くのヒット曲を聴いてきた所、80年代のヒット曲が一番、魅力を感じましたし、語り継がれていくだろう名曲が多いです。最近のヒット曲は、誰もが凄いって魅力を感じれるほどのブームを巻き起こす曲が少なくなってきているので、今の流行の音楽しか知らない自分と同じ若者達には特に、このCDに収録されてる曲は名曲のヒットパレードなので是非、聴いて欲しいですね。今のヒット曲には、寺尾聡さんの『ルビーの指輪』や中村雅俊さんの『心の色』や安全地帯の『ワインレッドの心』など大人の色気を凄く感じさせてくれる曲って無いですから・・・。

まず、「凄い！」の一言につきます。こんなに満足のいくオムニバスは初めてでした。ＣＤ２枚にわたり８０年代のヒット曲が収録されているわけですが、まさにレーベルを超えたと言っても過言ではないでしょう。一見、タイトルだけを見ると分からない曲もありますが（特にお若い方には）聴いてみると「ああ！この歌、知ってる！」と思えるハズです。一度にたくさんのアーティストの曲を聴く事が出来る点も、このＣＤの良い所ではないでしょうか？永久保存版に是非、どうぞ！

13社合同企画の青春歌年鑑シリーズの８０年代総集編になります。

こういったオムニバスのヒット曲集の場合、馴染みのある曲よりも
知らない曲の方が多いというケースが多々ありますが、
この総集編は非常に有名な曲が多いため
多くの方にとってほとんどの曲に馴染みがあることでしょう。
（ちなみに私は全３７曲中、３５曲が知っている曲でした。）

また、収録曲でイモ欽トリオのハイスクールララバイと
プリプリのダイアモンドが同じ年代にカテゴライズされている
ということにかなりのカルチャーショックを受けました。
逆に言えば１０年間で音楽シーンがいかに変遷していったか
ということが認識でき、新鮮なサプライズが味わえそうです。
特に私のような団塊ジュニア世代にとって80年代という時代は
小学生から高校生までの期間であり、より一層サプライズが
深まると思われます。

こういった総集編の宿命としていかに有名な曲を集めたとしても
全ての方に100％の満足を与えることはないわけですが、
それを考慮に入れても本作の収録タイトルは非常に豪華で
総集編の類の中では非常に高い満足感が得られることでしょう。

また、この青春歌年鑑は1年単位でもリリースされています。
例えば本作はチェッカーズのジュリアに傷心が収録されていますが、
「私にとってのチェッカーズは涙のリクエストなんだ！」という場合は
青春歌年鑑1984年版を購入するなどの検討方法をオススメします。
