解散説が流れ、ジョンのソロが発表され、長い間ファンが待ち望んで
発表されたアルバムです。
BON JOVIらしさは確かに残っているものの、少し路線の違いを感じて
いましたが、やはり曲の素晴らしさを実感出来るアルバムです。
バンドとしての結束がより深まったと当時、ジョンやリッチーが語って
いましたが、それが楽曲としての音の深まりとして受け取る事が出来ます。

個人的にはボーナストラックの【14】がとーっっても気に入っています♪
なぜ、ボーナストラックなんだろう？という位、良い出来ですよ！

ソロを挟んでのひさびさの新作の発表でジョンも髪を切り、少しばかりサウンドも垢抜けた感があります。今までのわかりやすいポップさはなくなりました。（良いか悪いかは微妙ですが）同じ土臭くて少し垢抜けたサウンドが聴きたいならブラッククロウズやグーグードールズを聴けばよいと思ってしまうのはおいらだけでしょうか？ある意味このバンドはジャニーズファンのように熱狂的なので純粋な音楽ファンにとってはちょっと抵抗あります。また後にギターのリッチ-が日本のトレンディー俳優と共演してしまったのにはがっかりしました。少し大人になった彼らが聴けるのはたしかです。

これに入ってるBed Of RosesとIn These ArmsはBon Joviのバラードの中で一番好きです。両方とも胸が熱くなって涙が出そうになるくらいに好き。何度聴いても足りないくらいです。この曲が無い人生なんてもう考えられません。
