ペンタプ購入時の芯がずいぶん磨り減ってしまっていたので購入しました。
「標準芯」「フェルト芯」「ストローク芯」の選択肢がありましたが、どこかのサイトで「ストローク芯は入り抜きが綺麗に出る。」というような記述があったのでこの「ストローク芯」を選択しました。
果たしてこれが大当たり！
特に「抜き」が綺麗に表現できるのには感動しました。
CGで主線を描く際に均一線を引いてから先の方を消しゴムで削って尖らせている人にお勧めです。

私はタブレットで描くときに「どうして最高性能のintuos3を使っているのにこんなに違和感があるの？」と思っていました。
そこでこれまで通常芯とフェルト芯ばかり使って、あまり眼中になかったストローク芯を使ってみたところ、書き味は最高。日頃、ノートなど下がフワフワした（？）感じで描いていたために、硬いタブレットの質感ではまるでプラスチックにコツコツ音を立てて描いているようで描きづらかったためです。
画材の質感がリアルに再現できるソフトで使えば、筆などの入り抜きが自然にでき、とても気に入っています。
またマットタイプオーバーレイシートと使うのがおすすめです。

写真を見ての通り、芯の半ばにスプリングが組み込まれています。
タブ表面をなぞる程度の筆圧でしたら、通常の芯と感触は変わりませんが、
ちょっと強めの筆圧（普通コピー紙にボールペンで、ペンの跡がへこみとなる程度）で描くと
0.5ミリほど沈み込む感触があり、それがデジタルのペンタッチに強弱を生みます。
フォトショップではさほどピンときませんが、
ペインターで水彩の筆などを使う際には筆圧とペンタッチの連動を感じられます。

しかし、問題はその筆圧の強さ。
私はかなり筆圧が低い方で（芯は一年使っても一本交換するかしないか程度）
この芯を使って強弱を出すほど強い筆圧で、常時、あるいは長時間、描くということがほとんどありません。
ですから、この芯のスプリングを実感できるのは、意識的に強くペンを握った時のみ、ということになります。
キャラクターの髪の毛先など、特に柔らかで先細る曲線がどうしても欲しい時、くらいでしょうか。
それ以外、普段はあまりスプリングを感じることはありません。
そんな状況はこの1050円というお値段に見合っているのか、ちょっと疑問です。
（まぁ年に１本取り替えるかどうかですから、５本セット1050円で５年は保つ計算になりますが…）

ペンタッチの強弱自体は、タブレット本体の設定やソフトの機能によってある程度は補完できます。
筆圧が低い人には、このスプリングの恩恵に預かれないかもしれません。
ご自分の筆圧、タブレットの機能性、ソフトの種類、そしてこの芯のお値段などをよく考慮した上で
購入されることをお薦めします。
