このシリーズについて

シルバニアファミリーとは
   「シルバニア村」に住むという、かわいらしい動物たちの人形を中心としたドールハウスのシリーズ。1985年に発売を開始。シルバニア村は森に囲まれたところにあり、世界のどこよりも美しく、そこにはシルバニアファミリーという心優しい仲間たちが暮らしているという設定で、その世界観は「シルバニアの森」の次の説明文に表現されている。

   緑の山をいくつも越えて、その奥へと行ったことがありますか。
   深い森をぬけると、世界のどこよりも、美しい村が広がっています。
   そこは、シルバニア村。
   世界中で、いちばん、心優しい仲間たちの住む場所です。
   風の中で、耳をすませてみてください。
   仲間たちの楽しいお話が聞こえてきます。

   商品構成は、人形シリーズ、ハウスシリーズ、家具シリーズ、ルームセット、着せ替えコレクション、森のファッションシリーズ、森のお医者さんシリーズ、赤ちゃんハウス、赤ちゃん広場シリーズ、森のみんなの学校シリーズ、湖畔のペンションシリーズなど（2006年3月現在）。人形は基本的に家族単位で発売されているほか、「留学生」という設定の子どもの人形などもある。個々の人形には、誕生日や性格、趣味など、プロフィールが細かく設定されている。
   商品名や商品構成などを現地事情にあわせたシリーズが欧米でも発売され、人気を博している。

このセットを飾ると、一気に生活感が出て私は好きです。
洗濯機の脱水槽は、フタは取れませんが開閉は出来ます。
子供さんのごっこ遊びに、向いていると思います。

ちなみにアイロンセットの隣に、別売りのミシンを置くと栄えますよ。

なぜか洗濯機が二槽式。
このおもちゃでお子さんと遊んでいる若いお母さんの中には、使ったことがない人もいるかも…。
洗濯機のふたが前に引っ掛けられるなど細かい。
でも、いっそのこと、ぐるぐる回して絞るくらいのレトロな洗濯機のほうが、シルバニアの世界に合うと思うんですがねぇ。

実は、シルバニアにある電化製品が私はキライ。
アーミッシュまではいかなくとも、ねぇ。
とかぶつくさいっていると、キッチン家電のセットにホットプレートが。
あぁ、電化の波がこんなところにまで！！
