三菱化学製の「DVD+R DL」を購入したきっかけは、他社製のメディアを
使った際に一部のドライブで2層目(レイヤー1)のデータを読み取ることが
出来なかった事があった為でした。各社のメディアを試してみましたが
安定して利用できたのは、本商品の三菱化学のメディアでした。
推論ではありますが、三菱化学は他社に先駆け"+R DL"メディアを販売
してきましたので、細かな改善が他社より進んでいるのではないでしょうか。
安価だが聞き覚えの無いメーカーのメディアを利用するより、安心感の
ある商品を選択した方が、結果的にコストや時間的にも満足いく結果と
なることでしょう。

本商品は「三菱化学 DTR85N1 DVD+R DL(1枚パック)」の5枚パックです。
1枚パックのメディアケースには、蓋にレーベル(タイトル等を書く紙)が
ありましたが、5枚パックのメディアケースの蓋にレーベルはありません。
この点が星ひとつ下げた理由です。
しかし、本来の目的であるデータ保存に関しては、最高品質と思われます
ので、一度、本商品の御利用をお薦め致します。

何かと問題があるようにいわれている記録用２層ＤＶＤですが、この商品は問題が少ないようです。現状で２層ＤＶＤで記録しようとすると、本商品以外は選択の余地がないといっても良いと思います。１層ＤＶＤと比較するとかなり高価ですが、長時間の映像を高いビットレートを維持したまま記録可能なメディアは（Blu-ray、HD DVDを別にすると）これしかありません。

I･O DATA(NEC OEM)やBUFFALO(Pioneer OEM)の最近のドライブでは、
自動的に8倍で焼けました。私の環境では互換性も問題なく、-Rがかかり
にくかった日立やシャープの最新のレコーダーでも、難なくかかりました。
おすすめできるディスクだと思います。
