このレビューは、ＤＣゲーム『月は東に日は西に』のファンが、ゲームへの愛着を高まらせた挙げ句に、アニメ化されたＤＶＤを全巻買った上での感想だという事をまず了解して下さい。
まず、画に違和感。ゲームはこの手のゲームによくある描かれ方でしたが、アニメではデフォルメされて「原作の面影ならある」程度になってます。手法の一つとして理解できなくもありませんが。
次に、時間が短い。１話分に詰め込んでる、といった印象が拭えません。もうちょっとゆとりが欲しかった、いや、ゆとりを取らせるべきだった。とはいえ、いろいろな制約と折り合いをつけての結果こうなったのでしょうが。
物語の方は連続性がある……ように見えますが、実はそうでもありません。第１巻と第２巻の各話はゲーム内にあった個別イベントの再現に特化しているような感じです。シナリオをなぞるようになるには、第２巻の終わり８話から。
以上の３つを総合した結果は、「あんまり面白くない」というところに落着してしまいました。
ゲームを知っている人は、画の違和感と話の詰め込みに失望、とはいかないまでもがっかりするでしょう。
ゲームを知らない人は、設定も伏線も分からず、さらに短時間で紡がれる各話になんじゃこりゃと思うでしょう。
誉められる点としては、アニメになって動き豊かで楽しいといったくらいでしょうか？
正直な話、お金出してまで買う価値があるとは思えませんでした。それでも私が持ったままなのは、『月は東に日は西に』のファンだからです。余程このゲームが好きな人なら購入するかもですが、そうではない一般の人にはお薦めできかねます。

大人気ゲーム『月は東に日は西に』のDVDの１巻です！アニメを見ましたが、原作の雰囲気が出ていて非常に面白かったです。声優さん方もPS2版と同じ人たちがやっているので、違和感もありません。原作を知らない人でも楽しめると思いますので買ってみてはどうでしょうか？
