PS2最初期タイトルだけに今やるとシステム・やりこみ要素両面で物足りない部分が多いです
ただ、決戦シリーズの中では一番史実に近く、有名声優を起用したドラマ部分（数は少ないものの）も見ごたえがあるので歴史ファンには意外とオススメです

関ヶ原の合戦を前後の戦いと共に描いたシミュレーションゲーム。
戦いの勝敗が分岐点となり歴史とは異なるストーリーも楽しめる。

一度戦いが始まるとリアルタイム制で進むので各部隊に指示するタイミングが重要になる。
その為、慣れるまでキビシイかもしれないがリアルタイムならではの緊張感があり面白い。

最近のゲームに比べると、やり込み要素に欠けるので物足りなく感じる人も居るだろうが
ＣＧによる合間のムービーは今見ても結構良く出来ているので
やってみて損は無いと思うゲームです。

コーエーの戦略シュミレーションゲーム、「決戦」シリーズ第一弾。
軍隊を指揮して戦う戦略ゲームだがかなり自由度が高い。
自軍の部隊を自在に配置でき、部隊編成から伏兵、築陣部隊などの設定もできる。
部隊にはそれぞれ好きな目標を定めさせて出陣後は命令通りに動き出すが
なんと戦闘中に自在に移動、戦闘、戦術の命令を好きなタイミングで出すことができる。
これはこの手の戦略ゲームとしてはかなり自由度が高い部類に入る。
またクリア後は西軍シナリオや難易度変更などもあるので長く遊べる筈だ。
