ホリらしく堅実な作り。
具体的には純正コントローラーよりグリップ部が長く、持ち易い。
十字キーはやはり純正と違い押す部分が4つに分かれておらず、
押しやすい。
アナログスティックは親指で触る笠の部分が純正より小さく、
精密な操作に向いている。
最も特筆すべきはアナログスティックの感度をコントローラー側で
3段階で切り替えることが出来る点。
ソフト側でスティックの感度を設定できる場合もあるが、ない作品も
多いのでそういう作品で、アナログスティックの感度に関して気になった場合に重宝するだろう。
他に一般的な連射機能と、ボタンを押さずに連射したままにできる
モード備えている。

ここまでだと純正を凌ぐコントローラーと言えるのだが、一つ欠点がある。
それはL1、L2、R1、R2の人差し指中指で操作するボタンの作りが良くない事である。
コントローラーは両手で、包み込むようにして持つものであり、
純正のL1L2R1R2キーはその為押しやすいように丸くなっているが、
このホリのコントローラーのそのボタンはほとんど普通の押しボタンのように平ら。
L2R2ボタンは中指の第一第二間接の間の腹で押すことが多いと思うが
ホリのはそれが想定されていない作りで、平らなため押しにくく、
また押したと思っても認識されないことがある。
その他の部分は完成度が高いだけにL1L2R1R2のボタンの出来が残念な商品。

連射機能付きのものが欲しかったので購入しました。
使い始めの頃は小さめのアナログスティックが意外と使いやすく気に入りました。
しかし、１週間もしないうちに○ボタンが沈んだまま戻って来なくなり、我慢して使っていたら×ボタンも同じようになりました。
しかし、他の方はおおむね満足されているようで、私だけなんですかね。
使い方が荒いのかとも思いましたが、純正の物を使用してもこんなにすぐには壊れなかったんですけど・・・。

購入して2年間使い込んだ上での評価です。
私は、グラディウスのようなテクニカル系STGを快適にプレイするため、十字キー採用の当パッドを発売と同時に購入しました。
初めは十字キーが非常に固く、また、誤動作も多く…ガッカリしました。
でも、せっかく買ったので仕方なく使っていたら…なんと、どんどん十字キーが柔らかくなり、しかも全く誤動作しなくなってきました。

今では十字キーの適度なクリック感と操作性に病みつきになっています。
使い込む事で自分の指になじむ上、操作性がアップ!
玄人向けパッドですね。
初めから、使い込んだ後のこの操作性を備えていれば爆発的ヒットとなっていたでしょう。残念です。
