アメリカのヒットチャートではあまり有名ではないけれど、イギリスのナンバーワンエンターテイナーです。
彼のショーマンシップはかなりのもので「楽しめない」ものは一つとしてないと言ってもいいほど。
それがベスト版で1枚に納められているんだからファンであろうとなかろうと必聴の一枚です。

また、最近イギリスのインターネットラジオ局ミュージック・チョイスが、「自分の葬式で流して欲しい曲トップ１０」の集計結果を発表しましたが
英国人での１位は、ロビー・ウィリアムスの「エンジェルス」だったとのこと。
その事実一つをとってみても彼の人気と実力はすばらしい。

ソロデビューシングルでgeorge michaelのカバー"freedom"や１stアルバムからの”lazy days"は収録されていないが、イギリスのアンセムとなった"angels"以降のヒット曲を中心に構成されている。シングルバージョンが存在するものは、シングルバージョンで収録されている。
"feel"や"something beautiful"はいわゆるエディットバージョンで物足りなさを感じるが、"let love be your energy"や"come undone"ではオリジナルとは異なるアレンジが楽しめる。新曲"radio"もクセになる逸品。しかし何といってもこのアルバムが素晴らしいのは"eternity"が収録されていること。この曲は"the road to mandalay"とともに（両Ａ面）のシングルとして発表され、大ヒットを記録した美しい夏のバラードで、オリジナルアルバムには収録されていない。このカップリングのシングルは彼のシングルの中で最も美しいものだと思う。ど派手なロック、親しみやすいポップス、ユーモラスなダンスナンバー、エモーショナルだったり、どこか寂しげだったりするバラードまで、これほど表現力豊かなアーティストは他にはいない。

大ヒットしたAngelsや、ライブで最初に歌うLet Me Entertain You
カイリー・ミノーグとデュエットしてるKids
フジテレビのＦ１のエンディングだったFeel、新曲のRadio
その他にも素敵なバラードなどがいっぱい入っています。
ぜひ聴いて、あなたのお気に入りをさがしてみて下さい。
