ＭＡＳＡＫＩのヴォーカルには殺傷能力がある。
聴く者全てに与える衝撃は計り知れない。
｢いい加減にしなさいよぉぉぉ~、今に痛い目にあうわよぉぉぉ~!!!」
一度聴いただけで、耳にこびり付いて離れない。。。

ﾌﾗｯﾄﾊﾞｯｶｰを知らずにEZOから入ってしまった私。ﾌﾗｯﾄﾊﾞｯｶｰの曲は16年前YUSENで初めて聞いてこの声は！！MASAKIだぁぁぁっと思って、しこたまCDを探したけど当時どこにも売っていなかった。ずーっと探してやっと手に入れたのがその１年後。さかのぼってﾌﾗｯﾄﾊﾞｯｶｰを聞いてびっくりEZOの１枚目からは想像できない激しさでした。ﾃﾞｽｳｨｯｼｭはEZOの１曲目とかぶっとるやんけと思いきや、ぜんぜん違う展開に．．．．激しい．．．MASAKI炸裂．．おぉぉまぁえぇぇにゃ！！曲のタイトルからすると一見コミックバンドか？と思いきやMASAKIの魂こもったスラかっこええバンドです。今でもﾛｰﾃｰｼｮﾝで聞いているマイベストの一枚です。

FLATBACKERのデビュー当時、日本にはLOUDNESS、アースシェイカー、４４マグナム、VOW　WOW、アンセムなど多くのHR/HMバンドが活躍していたが、パンク寄りのHMを聞かせてくれていたのはFLATBACKER だけだった。特に山田雅樹の声や歌詞には衝撃を受けたものだった。「HARD BLOW」を初めて聞いた時の衝撃は今でも覚えている。後のEZOのアルバムと比べるとかなり未熟な作品だが、若さがみなぎるパワーの有るアルバムであることは間違い無い。
