　自分の記憶が正しければ、彼女は桜田淳子より前の世代のアイドルだ。ロングヘアでおでこを出しているというのが好きじゃなかったせいか、あまり印象には残っていない。
　唯一知っている「わたしの彼は左きき」を聴くためにベスト版のＣＤを買ってみた。他の曲は初めて聴くようなものだったのにかなり楽しめた。特に「女の子なんだもん」（千家和也 作詞／筒美京平 作編曲）にはすごい衝撃を受けた。何にってドラムに。だいたいバックの演奏なんてラジオやテレビではあまりよく聴こえないから、あらためてＣＤの音質で聴いてみると全く印象が違う。オカズの部分ではなくリズムキープしている部分がとてつもなくカッコいいのだ。まったくよどみのないリズムキープから繰り出されるオカズ。何の不安感も不安定も感じさせずにもとの刻みに戻る。まさに絶妙のグルーブ感だ。何度聴いても気付くとドラムを聴いている。誰が叩いているかはクレジットされていないので分からないが、村上ポンタ秀一氏あたりなのかもしれない。とにかくこのドラム演奏の素晴らしさに気付いただけでも元は取れた。もちろん「アルプスの少女」（千家和也 作詞／筒美京平 作曲）などで聴ける麻丘めぐみの甘ったるい声も十分気持ちいいぞ。
