いい値段なので本格的なかるたの様な作りなのかと思いきや、
一枚のボール紙に印刷してあるだけの簡素な作りなので
開けた時はがっかりしました。
しかし１歳児が投げたり踏んだり、乱暴に遊んでも折り目すらつかず
思ったよりも丈夫に出来ているので感心しました。
１枚だけ噛んだ札があるのですが、それでもうっすらと跡がついた程度。

同封の説明書はくどくないので国語が嫌いな方でも楽しめると思います。
古文やことわざだけでなく、あそび歌や沖縄の文学からも引用があり、
とても勉強になりました。
私にとっては札よりもこの説明書が大事で、子供にぐしゃぐしゃに
されそうになると慌てて取り戻しに行っています。
耐久性の星を４つにしたのは、ケースの耐久性をもっと強くして欲しいので。

4歳になる息子は「かるた、同じの持ってる！」といいながら、いろはかるたを並べて「にほんごであそぼ」を見ています。
購入当初は、色もない難しい言葉のかるたなのであまり興味を持ってはくれないかな？と思っていましたが、「テレビと同じ」というのがうれしかったようです。今では、字が読めるようになったので絵札と読み札を合わせて（トランプの神経衰弱ゲームのようにして）遊んでいます。
大人の私からみると…デザインがシンプルでとても素敵なので、気に入った絵札を小さな額に入れて飾ってもいいかな？とも思います。子供が遊ばなくなたら、インテリアとして楽しむつもりです…。
「かるた」についてですが…パッケージはスライドタイプなので中身が簡単に取り出すことができます。また、札一枚一枚に厚みがあるのでとても丈夫です。ただ…少々重いので、持ち運ぶときに気をつけないと中の箱がスライドして外に飛び出してしまい、札が大散乱！という事態が起こります…。

4歳の息子に店頭でねだられ、買う羽目になりました。
躊躇していた気持ちに後悔と反省の気持ちにさせられるほど、家族で気に入ってしまいました。

これからの時代、残しておきたい日本語が詰まっています。
「礼に始まり礼に終わる」「雨ニモマケズ風ニモマケズ」「君死にたまふことなかれ」息子がお気に入りのフレーズです。

将来教科書に出てきたときに、思い出してくれることを期待し、教育的価値５つにしました。
