玉置嬢が前作の第三期＆第四期ＯＰに続けて歌う、３曲目の種歌。
放送当時は１４歳だった彼女ももう１６歳。歌姫としての貫禄も出てきた。
毎回印象的なフレーズが歌詞の中に織り込まれているが、
今回もそれは健在。
“遠く離れてる程に　近くに感じてる”
どんなに距離があっても、互いを想う気持ちは…などの意味合いだろう。
なかなかにロマンチックな歌詞である。
そして初回版にはアレックス・ディノの偽名を使ったアスランのＩＤカード入り。
シンのＩＤカード同様、これも初回版を逃すと入手は難しいだろう。
確実に手に入れるため、予約をしておいた方がいいかもしれない。
個人的にはレイやスティング、アウルのＩＤカードも欲しいところだ。
前作の第三期と第四期はスピード感があったが、今回はスピード感の
中に優雅さも感じられるようになった。これも２年の歳月が玉置嬢を成長させた結果だろう。

４ｔｈシングルから多少路線の変更があったのかアイドル的な歌だったのですが今作は以前のアーティスト路線に戻った感じです。
歌詞、曲調ともとても切ない、しかし前向き、その情景を思い浮かべるだけで自分も切なくなってきます。
アメリカでの修行もあってか今回は表現力も相当なレベルに達しており聴く側としても安心して聴けますし、玉置成実のポテンシャルの高さを再実感したしました。
また機動戦士ガンダムSEED DESTINYのエンディングにもなっており聴く機会も多いと思います。
是非買ってフルサイズを聴いてもらいたいと思います。

玉置成実の曲はカップリングも聴きやすくタイトル曲以上に魅力を受けることもしばしば。是非すべての曲を聴いてみて下さい！

歌はすごくよかったんだけれど
ジャケットの裏を、ガンダムの絵にするのはやめて欲しかったなぁ…
買う人みんながみんな、ガンダムファンな訳じゃないんだし。
重要なのは歌の方だけれど、ジャケットにも少し気を使って欲しかった。
少数派かもしれないけど、ジャケットにこだわる人だっているだろうし。
