   作詞家・松本隆の仕事の集大成となるBOX『風街図鑑』の、姉妹篇ともいえる作品集だ。サブ・タイトルにもあるように、松本隆がはっぴいえんど解散後から現在までに細野晴臣、大瀧詠一、鈴木茂とそれぞれコラボレイトしたナンバーを集めた1枚だ。

   『風街図鑑』とのダブリ曲もあるものの、今回はオリジナル・アーティストにこだわらず、CHEMISTRYや槇原敬之によるカバー・バージョンも収録されているなど、新鮮な手触りも随所にちりばめられている。加えて、全体を包み込むこの何ともいえない統一感。さすがは以前同じ釜の飯を食べた者同士だ。80年代の楽曲の充実ぶりに、商業的成功とは無縁だったはっぴいえんど時代の“リヴェンジ”がゆるやかににじんで見える。（木村ユタカ）

5.0 out of 5 stars 直球勝負の歌謡曲スタイルに圧倒されっぱなし！！, 2004/11/4
“歌謡曲”という言い回しが現役だった最後の頃--'８０年代--のヒット路線の持つ直球でパワフルなポップさが全編に満ち満ちたアルバムである。しかし古臭さは感じられず、何と曲がイキイキしていることか！
『風街図鑑~街編~』は聴いていて若干中だるみしてしまう曲の並びだったのに比べ、本アルバムは、耳にグイグイと食い込んでくるオシのきいた大瀧節の曲と、サラリと都会的な佇まいを見せる細野さん作の曲が絶妙に配置されており、聴き飽きない。
ピチカート・ファイヴや槇原敬之、ケミストリー、東京スカパラダイスオーケストラfeat.小沢健二らによるカヴァーも、アルバム全体に新鮮味を加えていて聴きもの。

~はっぴいえんど「風街クロニクル」買ってきました。今聞いていますが、意外と微妙。つうか、この際YMOとか大瀧のソロは入れないで欲しかったし、槇原、ピチカート、ケミストリーなどのカバー群に至っては完全に蛇足。それ、意味合い違うだろ？この辺があるおかげで全体の濃度がかなり落ちている。でいてやっぱり、おなじみ感ある曲がじつは大半なわけですよ。~~欲を言えばその辺排除して一枚物でも十分だったような気さえする。稲垣潤一、藤村美樹、山下久美子とかそういうラインの選曲こそが一般に求められているものだと思うのだけれど。KAYOの「三つ編みヒロイン」、細野さんの手癖がよく出ている曲だったのでちょっとうれしかった。~

　はっぴいえんど後から、つい最近までの選曲が実に広いです。全三十一曲中には現在入手困難であったり、その一曲のためにアルバムを買うのはためらわれるような作品も多く収録されているので、欲しかった作品が三曲あれば、気になる二枚組です。
　とは言っても、企画自体は使い古されて目新しさの欠片も無く、選曲についても「なぜあの曲が入ってないんだ」「裕木奈江なら"宵待ち雪"でしょう」という声が聞こえてきそうですが、これを機に新しい作品や「風の谷のナウシカ」を聴き直すのも、良いかもしれません。
　「七夕の夜、君に逢いたい」は８cmシングルと１２cmシングルでは時間が違いましたが、どちらが収録されてるんでしょうね。
