『JSA』のイ・ビョンホンと『ハッピーエンド』のチョン・ドヨンが共演による切ない初恋物語。山里の小学校に遅く入学した17歳の女の子・ホンヨンは新任教師のスハに惹かれ初恋をする。だが、彼女の願いも虚しくスハは同僚の女教師に惹かれていく。

韓国版ＤＶＤで観ました。山の小学校の先生になったビョンホンシー。ちょうどこの撮影中にお父さまを亡くされ、お父さまの背広を着て撮影されたとか。チョン・ドヨン（小学生役）のビョンホン先生への淡い恋心。同僚イ・ミヨンへのビョンホンシーの恋。オルガンを弾くビョンホン先生。子どもを助けようと燃えさかる炎の中に飛び込むビョンホンシー。（この火事の場面は圧巻。）『純愛中毒』とはまた違うビョンホンシーの魅力が味わえる、ファン必見の映画。この映画で演技に開眼したと言われています。

山奥の小学校の日常を描いたお話。村の空気の香りまで伝わってくるような自然な出来上がりの映画です。
ビョンホンさんも新米先生を好演していますが、17歳役のチェ・ドヨンさんが本当に少女にしか見えません。
田舎の子に見えるように少し黒くメイキャップしたそうですが、それにしても驚きです。すばらしい演技です。
物語は静かに進み、ほのぼの感いっぱい。このまま静かに終わってしまうのかと思っていると、最後の数分間でやられた~という感じ。エンドロールまでみて思いっきり殴られたような感動です。すごくおしゃれな映画です。
韓国映画のレベルの高さとセンスの良さが本当にわかりました。

イ・ビョンホン、イ・ミヨンと言えば、「純愛中毒」で共演されていますが、この作品は設定が60年代の田舎の学校なので、「純愛中毒」とは雰囲気が全く違っていて、それがとても新鮮な印象を受けました。
当時26才ながら、17才の小学生を演じたチョン・ドヨンがしっかり小学生に見えてしまうところに、彼女の演技力を感じました。
イ・ビョンホンさんが素敵な声で歌うシーンなど見どころもたくさんありますよ。
