リアルタイムで鑑賞できなかったのが悲しい作品の一つ。
渡辺岳夫のジャズチックな勢いある曲（ベースが唸る唸る）に前川陽子のゴージャスな歌声が乗る。この歌い方、今の人間がやれば下衆な物になってしまうのだろうけど、前川陽子がやれば可愛らしい爽やかなお色気になるから凄い。
魔女っ子シリーズの主題歌の中でミンキーモモと並んで好きな曲です。

キューティーハニーで有名な前川陽子の主題歌と、
渡辺岳夫によるポップなBGMが、
強烈に昭和を思い出させてくれます。
女の子だけでなく男の子にも人気がありましたね。

アニメ「魔女っ子メグちゃん」といえばＯＰテーマ曲「魔女っ子メグちゃん」が引き合いに出されますが、
大人になってからはＥＤテーマ曲「ひとりぼっちのメグ」がムネに沁みますねえ。

／ふたつの胸のふくらみは／何でもできる証拠なの／（ＯＰテーマ曲より抜粋）
／何でもできると／人は言うけれど／魔女っ子メグは／ひとりぼっち／（ＥＤテーマ曲より抜粋）

ＥＤテーマ曲がＯＰテーマ曲を受けた歌詞になっているのが素晴らしい。見よこの形式美。
イマドキのアニメのＯＰ／ＥＤ曲は別売り当たり前、「テーマ」より「タイアップ」の方が重要視される昨今、本ＣＤはもっと評価されていいと思います。
