   大地震により壊滅的な打撃を受け、孤立してしまった人口島を舞台に繰り広げられる壮絶なサバイバルアクションゲーム『絶体絶命都市』が、ついに「PlayStation 2 the Best」化！　

   本作は、本土から孤立化した人口島“首都島”のなかで、新聞記者である主人公が「地震」よって次々と起こりうる災害を切り抜けながら救出地点を探し出していくマルチエンディング方式のアクションアドベンチャーゲーム。ビルなどの建築物の倒壊や火災、また新たにやってくる地震など、何が起こるかわからない、予断を許さない状況のなかで、主人公はゲーム中に出会うさまざまな生存者たちと助け合い、時には敵対しながら無事に生還するべく判断・行動していかなければならない。

   走る、飛ぶ、地震の際にふんばる、狭い足場を渡るなど多彩なアクションがあり、対処すべきシチューエションも実に様々な本作だが、常に気をつけておきたいポイントが“水分の補給”。水分を摂らないと速く移動できなくなるばかりか、体力が奪われていくのだ。だが、ゲームの舞台は崩壊が進む人口島。いつでもすぐに飲み水を補給できるとは限らない……。（南田三太）

まず、世界観に惹かれて購入することについて損はないと思います。

個人的に良好なのが
・難易度を設定する事が可能
・エンディングが多数有
・ヒロインが二人あり、好みで選べる　等

そして、惜しい所が
・操作性
・グラフィックがお世辞にも良いとは言い難い（慣れるとあまり気にはなりません）
・ボリューム不足　等


とりあえず最初プレイする時は、スムーズに進められます
個人的に、結構楽しく、シナリオの続きが気になるゲームだと思うので、買って損する事はまず無いと思います。

ひと言で言えば「あとちょっと」な作品です。

震災をテーマにした異色のストーリー→◎
が、ラストの展開で「何でやねん」と呟くことは確実。ストーリーが尻すぼみ→×

水が回復アイテムのかわり→◎
が、ペットボトルがいっぱい拾えるので大して水の必要性がない→×

崩れてくる建物や揺れる地面のグラフィックが綺麗→◎
処理落ちがひどくスローモーションで走る主人公→×

選択肢によるエンディング分岐→◎
クリア後のおまけ要素がなく何週もするのが辛い→×

といった具合で、全ての要素において「あとちょっと」なんです。
もう少しツメればもっと面白いゲームになっていたと思います。

何処にでも存在し得る、身近な恐怖、
｢天災」を素材にしたコンセプトは◎。

ビルがゆっくりと倒壊する様子や、真綿で締め付け
られるように徐々に狭まっていく行動範囲等、
緊迫するシーンの連続で最期まで飽きさせない。
まさにパニック映画を見ているような感覚を味わえる。

シーンの端々に分岐が設けられており、プレイヤーの意思が
結末に反映されやすいゲームデザインも十分評価に値する。

だが、少し辺りを見回しただけで簡単に処理落ちしたり、
道具がバランス無視の飽和気味に配置されていたり、
死角からのダメージで不条理に一発死したり、等、
基本的部分の練りこみが甘いせいでストレスを感じる
事が多かったのが残念。

もうちょっと作り込みが込んでたら、メガヒットソフトに
大化けしていた可能性もあるのだが…。

最後に一言。
｢非常時なんだし､その高さの手すりくらいは乗り越えようよ!｣
