バンド名を「Gラヴ」としてリリースする3年4か月ぶりの6作目、ジャック・ジョンソンのレーベル（Brushfire Records）移籍第1弾アルバム。プロデュースは、ビースティー・ボーイズやジャック・ジョンソンを手がけているマリオ・カルダートJr.。

近年、盟友ジャック・ジョンソンのヒットにより、地味に注目を集めつつあるG.LOVE & SPECIAL SAUCE（ファッション誌のカバーなんかにも登場）。そういう意味でも重要な時期にリリースの新作です。リリースもジャックジョンソンのレーベルからで、「心機一転」的な意味もあるのか、バンド名からスペシャルソースが無くなってます。メンバーが変わったとかではないようですし、また、他の２人を軽んじているわけでもない、とギャレットは語っておりました。

そして、肝心の作品の内容ですが、これは個人的に最高傑作な気がします！もっとも、聴き始めは結構そう思う時が多いのですが・・・。しかし、まず曲がどれも良いです。バリエーション豊かで、しかも全体的にライブ感があるというか、アゲアゲな印象が強く、聴いていてノれます。プロデューサーが良かったのかも知れません。

演奏も巧くなっている、ように感じました。初期のライブを見たことがあるのですが、正直ちょっとひどかったです。

ルーツミュージックをうまい具合に混合させた、真の意味でのミクスチャーと呼べる音楽。それゆえにちょっと日本人にはとっつきにくい印象があるのか、作品の質にあまり人気が比例していないような印象の彼らですが、この作品で、もう少しそういう状況も変わってくるのでは？

ブルースを軸においた構成に少しだけジャズのスパイスを加えた楽曲、その曲に絡みつくように歌うHIPHOP調のヴォーカル、う〜ん　聴いてて気持ちいいアルバムだな〜♪しかも、このリミテッドバージョンには未収録曲が３曲も追加されているからお買い得です！
