このアルバムに興味がある人の中には僕と同じように高野寛のほとんどのアルバムを持っていて、買おうかどうか迷っている人がいるはずである。僕もそうだったが思い切って買った。
このＣＤはかなり高度なデジタルリマスタリングがなされている。普段洋楽などのリマスタリングはよく違いがわからないのだが、このアルバムは明らかに以前のアルバムよりもダイナミックレンジと声の透明感と清涼感が格段に向上しているのがわかる。腕のいいエンジニアがリマスタリングしたのだろう。
ＣＤもゴールドでかっこいいし、ライナーノーツでは高野寛自身が曲の思い入れを語っている。
なお、高野寛を初めて聞く人には１０倍お勧めだ。

初めて高野寛を聞いたのは、高校生になったぐらい。
ＦＭ横浜の深夜番組、カレッジチャートジャパンでした。

BLUE PERIODだったですね。流れたのは。こころひかれる歌詞とメロディで、自分だけの新しいものを探していた年頃の私のツボでした。

その後、虹の都、ベステンダンクなどのヒット曲を出すも、サポートメンバーとしての活動が続きます。

ですが、プロデューサーとしての才能が開花し、多くの才能を手がけたと聞いたとき、私はちょっと嬉しかったのです。

彼は元気にがんばっているんだなぁ、と。

このアルバムのタイトル「相変わらずさ」は曲のタイトルから取っているのですが、なんだか私のようなファンに対するメッセージに思えるのです。

高野寛の声を聞くと切ないんです。あの頃の日々を思い出したりして。

もしも昔の友人たちに会って、「よう、元気？｣なんて聞かれたら、「相変わらずさ。」といいたい。

そんな、アルバムのタイトルを含めて★４つ。

高橋幸宏プロデュース「See You Again」でデビューした高野寛。
彼の姿を初めて見たのはビートニクスのライブだった。
その後､非凡なポップスを作りながらもBig Hitに恵まれなかったが
ミズノのCM「虹の都へ」「ベステンダンク」でブレイク。
売れたのは嬉しいがこれだけの傑作でもタイアップがなければ売れなかったであろう現実に複雑な思いを抱く。
その後も坂本龍一プロデュース「夢の中で会えるでしょう」や個人的に一番好きなアルバム「Rain or Shine」などを発表。
この時のコンサートでアンコールを3回も演ってくれた事を思いだす。
その彼もベテランの領域に入りサウンドトラックやナタリーワイズなど
活躍の場を広げている。
とりとめもなく書いたが一本芯が通ったミュージシャン高野寛にこれからもがんばってほしい。
