ライヴを観た。言葉で表現が出来ない程の「歌」の圧倒的な存在感。彼女の声の生なましさ、そしてその歌詞の深遠さは全神経にダイレクトに突き刺さってくる。大げさで言うわけではないのだが、これほどまでに「歌」に真摯に対峙しなければならないアーティストはジョアン・ジルベルトと彼女ぐらいのものだと思った。そしてこのアルバムはそんな彼女の初期の最高傑作。ＢＧＭとして聴く事なかれ。聴き手の感性が試されている。

　ソプラノ歌手出身で癒し系とのことでしたので、透明感のある伸びや
かな歌声を期待しておりました。　が、どちらかというと「まったり」としていて、雨降りの寒い夕方にほのかな明かりが灯るような、異調の
イメージでした。
個人的には”天使”という形容は、違うかなと思いますが、独特の雰囲
気がそのような感触を与えるのかもしれません。

彼女を天使だなんて、そんな形容の仕方をして欲しくない。この人は小さな普通の女の子で、そんな子が自分の想いを絞り出すかのように吐き出しているのです。ここまで繊細でドラマチックに唄える少女を僕は知らない。この時期だからこそ唄えた、大人になる前の多感な少女の危うさを秘めた奇跡の瞬間の唄をどうか聴いて欲しい。まるで印象派のような風景描写が広がってしまう唄の力がある。3:15とレクイエムは必聴。曲を聴いた後に想像してみて欲しい。大観衆の前でひとりで小さな女の子がホンモノの唄を唄うことに挑む姿を。それは気高く、強く、美しい。彼女には大きな舞台がよく似合う。
