エグベルト･ジスモンチ１９７０年のセカンドアルバム。

正に奇才と呼ぶにふさわしいエグベルト･ジスモンチ。
音楽家族に生まれ、幼少より充実した音楽教育を受けてきた。
その充実振りは１９６７年にウィーンに音楽留学をしたほど。

そんなジスモンチはこのウィーン滞在時期に
クラシックからポップスの道を志すようになる。

求める音は故郷ブラジルの音楽に根ざしたものであり、
その探求のために様々な試行錯誤をした末、
アマゾンのインディオの集落で寝食を共にしたりもする。

本作はファーストアルバム「エグベルト･ジスモンチ」につぐ
セカンドアルバムであり、妻のドゥルシ･ヌネスをヴォーカルに、
大胆なオーケストレーションをアレンジした大作になっている。

ジスモンチ自身もピアノに加えギターにヴォーカルにアレンジに
そのルーツであるアラブ系のエキゾチックな香りを漂わせる。

１９７０年代以降ドイツのＥＣＭレーベルに移籍してから
エグベルト･ジスモンチの音作りは、よりシンプルな構成で
洗練されたインストロメンタルミュージックになっていく。

一部のファンにはこの音に馴染めない方も多いようだ。
ヴォーカルが聴けるのもこの時期のみであり、
このプレスは非常に貴重なものといえるだろう。

　女性スキャットが全編をリードする一曲目を聞くと、なんだか、伊住加代子さんが参加した日本の昭和40年代のイージー・リスニング辺りを想起してしまう。エグベルト・ジスモンチというと、ＥＣＭ時代しか知らないような自分にとっては、ちょっとした驚きだ。
　しかし、二曲目の「ラジェ公園」は同じように男女スキャットやオーケストラなどが加わっているが、とても美しいメロディと音響を持っている。

　ところで、タイトルの「ソーニョ」というのは「夢」の意味らしいが、６８年にその曲で、フェスティバル入賞を果した。そして、エリス・レジーナも取り上げたことで、彼の知名度は上がったという。
　解説を読むまで気が付かなかったので、あらためてエリスのレコードを確認したら、「コモ・イ・ポルケ」で取り上げられていた。

　本作は、７０年に製作されたセカンド・リーダー作で、再びその曲を取り上げたことに、タイトルが由来するようだ。

　ＥＣＭ時代のクリスタルなサウンドが好きなジャズ・ファンはちょっと戸惑うかもしれないが、これはこれで傑作だと思う。ただ、オーケストラはもう少し控えめのほうがよかったような...
