ジョージ・デュークの出す音は７０年代のブラジリアン・フュージョンを語る上で絶対に避けては通れない音なので、なかなか手に取るまでに時間はかかるかもしれませんが、どうせ買うならビシッと２枚組の本作をオススメします。アイルト・モレイラ、フローラ・プリンの出す音にピンとくる人で、ポップなものが好きなリスナーなら、確実に気持ちよくなれると思います。

一口にフュージョンの再評価といっても、今聴くと、古臭い音も多々あるなか、ジョージ・デュークはシンセを多用しながらも、決して古臭い音にはならない。それは生のグルーヴを土台に、曲作りをしているからだと思います。いつまでも変わらない普遍性をもった珠玉の作品の数々を、二枚組というボリュームで、充分堪能してください。
