レビューとは少し違うかもしれないけど・・・。
金も無い、彼女もいない、友達も少なくて、昼間は惰眠を貪り、夕方にむっくりと起きてほてほてと歩いて商店街に入り、安いけどまずい定食屋に入って・・・etc。
そんな生活を繰り返していた暗い学生時代にこのアルバムに出会いました。
収録されている「ギルド」は人によっては全然伝わってくるメッセージが違うかもしれないし、歌い手もそんな奴のために作った曲じゃないと思うかもしれない。
だけど、聴き終わった瞬間、
「あ、今のおれのこと歌っている曲だ」
と勝手に解釈してしまいました。
単純に歌詞が自分の生活や考え方になんだかリンクしているというか・・・。
格好悪くて、みじめで情けなくて、どうしようもないあの学生時代の横に「ギルド」という曲は常に僕の横に存在していました。
社会人になった今でもたまに聴くと、どうしようもないけど今思い返せばそれなりに楽しくて愛おしい学生時代、つまり青春を思い出させてくれるそんな一枚。
僕は学生時代にこのアルバムに出会えたことを良かったと思ってます。
皆さんには、そんな一枚がありますか？

私は一年間日本の佐賀県に住んでいます。イギリスから来ました。今日本語を勉強しています。私はBump of Chickenが大好きですよ。新しいCDはすごくきれいだと思います。藤原さんの声は美しいです。歌詞もとてもきれいだと思います。一昨日このCDを買った、10回を聞きました！！！好きな歌は「Fire Sign」と「オンリーロンリーグローリー」と「同じドアにくぐれたら」だけど本当にぜんぶ好きです！今年これは私の一番好きなアルバムです。

ユグドラシルのナンバーがついに出ましたね。ユグドラシルというのは北欧神話の世界樹のことで
曲の中にも北欧神話に関連する曲が2曲ほどありました
No.1　asgardとNo.14　midgard　です。
アースガルドとは北欧神話で神々が暮らす土地であり
ミッドガルドとは人間がすむ土地をいいます。
オンリーロンリーグローリーで孤独の栄光をつかみ。ダイヤモンドで苦悩し。

ロストマンで旅の勇気をだし、Sailing Dayで旅を共にする友を見つめる。
最初と最後に北欧神話の土地名を持ってきたのは
BUMPの今回のアルバムがアースガルドからミッドガルドまでの旅の一つの物語みたいに仕上がってるのではないでしょうか

アルバムもその広大な世界観を表わすようなアルバムに仕上がってるはずです。

BUMPの曲には不思議と人をひきつける力があり。またそれがBUMPの魅力でもあります。BUMPお決まりの隠しトラックも面白いですし。
