Hi-MDプレーヤーのハイエンドモデル。単体でライン録音や光デジタル録音が行なえる。ほぼMDケースサイズのボディーはマグネシウム合金製で堅牢だ。おもな操作は本体のほかに液晶付きリモコンで可能だが、ライン録音を開始する際は本体前面のボタンで操作する。従来のMDウォークマンでもおなじみだった高音質化機構“TYPE-S”やデジタルアンプを搭載。音質はレンジが広く、WAVE形式の再生にも適している。
