最後まで静かなドキドキ感が味わえるし、
ラブストーリーも組み込まれ、また、一味違った
香港映画だと思います。

BGMのウー・バイの曲など、挿入歌・主題歌にも
耳を傾けてみてもまたさらにいい映画に感じます。

ツイハークは好きな監督なのだが
けっこうハズレ作品も作っているので
今まで「ドリフト」もヤバそうだと避けてきたが
ジャッキーの最新映画「ニューポリスストーリー」で脇役を固めていた
ニコラスツェーがいい味を出していて興味が出たのと
半額半蔵がさらにお安くなったのとで思い切って買った
見てみたら

実に面白かった
主役のニコラスツェーはいい奴でがんばっているのだが、
弱いし、いいところがあんまりないのが逆に微笑ましい
逆に、第二の主役ウーバイはバリバリの傭兵あがりで
めちゃめちゃ強いし、アクションもすごい
二人の対比と友情がとても物語りに深みを持たせている感じ

ツイハーク得意のワイヤーアクションも
現代的に全く不自然なく使われていてとてもかっこいい
やはり
キルビルやマトリックスのにわかワイヤーアクションとは違う

あと邦題の「ドリフト」はあんまり的を得たタイトルじゃない
カーアクションはそんなに主題ではなく
やはり、格闘とガンアクションが主題である
原題は「Time and Tide」なので
直訳すると「時間とその流れ」ってところかな？わかりにくい？
