約３年待った甲斐があります。JANE DOEよりも生音、特にドラムの音が目立ちます。３，４，５曲目と流れていくとこは必聴。前作と変わらぬ狂いっぷり、しかし楽曲構成的にはシンプルになっていると思われます。それでも普通のバンドの比ではないですが・・・。全体で４０分にも満たないけれどもその分密度が濃いです。ちなみにyou fail meとdeath kingは別で売っているライヴDVDのLONG LOAD HOMEにも収録されています。来年早々には再来日するかもしれないという噂もあるので今から楽しみです。

マスターピースとして輝く前作から３年ぶりの新作。
前作にもあったメタルの要素をかなり削ぎ落とし、収録時間の短縮などによりHCに近くなったと同時にアコースティックギターを導入したり、メロディーを増やすなど元々Voジェイコブが持ち合わせていた『フェミニン』な側面（これがConvergeの一つの魅力）がより強調されているように感じられる作品。

しかしながら前作の「衝撃度」の後に比べると星３つ。新しい試みには好感触だがもっと煮詰めるべきだったか、逆にハードさを一度捨ててガラっと雰囲気を変えてもよかった気が・・・良い作品ではあるけどあくまでも佳作かなというのが正直な感想です。

エピタフ移籍・ここ最近のメディアのConvergeの取り上げ方など盛り上がってきているのは確かで、次作では「メジャー」で売れるような逆にあっと驚くような作品に期待したいです。

あまりにも狂っていて、そしてあまりにも美しい音楽です。前作よりもシンプルになった分、より生々しさを感じますね。文句なしで星５つです。そして早くあの凄過ぎるライヴを体感したい！！
