とてもよく出来ています。
８０年代のフュージョンにも通じる感じもするので、40代前後の人も気に入ると思います。

1曲目があまりにエレクトリックなので面食らいましたが，それ以降は十二分に楽しませてくれました．2曲目の「If...」，4曲目（タイトル曲）の「Brain」，5曲目の「Desert on the Moon」は特にすばらしいと思います．前作の衝撃的デビューアルバムほどではないかもしれませんが，それでもHiromiのよさがじっくり味わえる一枚．

「情熱大陸」で彼女の存在を知った。日本にも世界で羽ばたくこんな凄い才能を持った女性が出たことに驚かされると同時に、コンサートの途中で点滴を打ちながら頑張る姿を見て、この子の根性は半端じゃないなと感じた。アーティストもアスリートもいまや若い世界を相手に物怖じしない世代が出てきてジャパン、ジャパニーズそのものをブランド化するパワーを見せている。上原ひろみの場合も、ジャンルにこだわることなくテクノ・ジャズからクラッシック、日本の感性を伝えるメロディまで自然体でこなす。そのワイドレンジな多面性にはやや戸惑いを覚える人も多いことだろうが、そのこと自体が古い単線的進化論を否定する新しさなのであろう。アーマッド・ジャマルが電話で1分間、デモテープを聴いただけで惚れ込んだ才能は、僕にはジャマルのコンピングを彷彿とさせる共通点も感じたのだが・・・。いずれにしても今後が楽しみな逸材であることは確かだ。
