日本を通さずにアメリカのレコード会社と直接契約してCDを出した日本人としては3人目だそうです（なんと2人目の小曽根真から20年ぶり！）。演奏スタイルは典型的なジャズピアノともピアノトリオとも随分違いますが、とにかく迫力とスピード感がハンパではないアルバム。ピアノ演奏そのものでは、表題曲の「Another Mind」と最後の「The Tom and Jerry Show」（ソロ）が印象的。トリオとしての絡みを味わうには「Dancando No Paraiso」かな。超特急のインタープレイがすごいです。今後がとっても楽しみで、これからもCDを買いつづけようと思わされる内容でした。

上原ひろみは４小節聴いただけで、すぐに上原ひろみと分かる。オリジナリティーと疾走感。オープントップのスポーツカー、いや、ジェット戦闘機に乗っているような疾走感がある。上手いとか下手の問題ではない。もちろん、テクニックは素晴らしいのだが、上原のすごい所はテクニックではない。新しいジャズの境地を切り開いた事にある。誰にもマネ出来ない「上原ワールド」。天才である。（松本敏之）
