ドリーム・シアターのキーボーディスト、ジョーダン・ルーデスのソロアルバム第3弾です。
嘘か本当かはわかりませんが、すべての曲を2週間ほどで書き上げたとか。本当だったら大変です。それだけすぐれた曲が目白押しです。
また、とにかくゲストミュージシャンが豪華絢爛。私はその面子の素晴しさに目がくらんで購入したクチです。ざっと挙げただけでも、ジョー・サトリアーニ、グレッグ・ハウ、ヴィニー・ムーア、スティーヴ・モーズ……などなど。名前を聞いただけでも眩暈がするような豪華ゲストのプレイを聴くだけでも価値があります。

多くのギタリストがゲスト参加しているが、全体的にKbd＋Drsユニットの仕上がり。１０日間カン詰めで録音した効果あって派手な攻撃的なメロディが多い。 DrsはDREGSの朋友R.Morgensteinで前作T.Bozioに比べ非直線的。S.Morse、D.Rarue(B)も参加。マーチ＋ＪＡＺＺアレンジのKENSO風、歌曲もあるがバラード、ピアノ曲は少ない。

“METROPOLICE Pt2”“Six~”で全世界に名を知らしめたお馴染みのDREAM THEATERのKey奏者による３年ぶりのソロ・アルバム。
　普段はインストゥル・アルバムは買わない派なんだけど、某ラジオ番組でキップ・ウィンガーがゲストで歌っている“Tear Before The Rain”を聴いてビビッときたものがあったので、つい買ってしまったのである。

　いざサクっと聴いてみると、こいうタイプは同じフレーズがあったりするからダメだ、といった心配はなく、クラシックピアノでテクニカルでよりドラマティックにいかに凄い曲を弾くことができるかとか、アンサンブルとはこういうものなんだ、っと感心させられるんだけど、やっぱりVoが入ってないとなーんか寂しいんだよんね(アルバム中２曲Vo入り)。

　もしこれが喫茶店などでCDが流れていたら頭~ケツまで店内に居てしましそうです。家でコーヒーを啜りながらマッタリと聴きこむのがベストですな！
