ズンチャカ鳴ってる黒いＲ＆Ｂが特徴のキンキーサウンド目白押しなキンクスの１ｓｔアルバム。
全編キンキーサウンドではっちゃけてくれてる上に＋１２曲なんでこれお得です。
ユーリアリーガットミーはどうあっても必聴。チャックベリーのカバーもアリ。

オリジナルは１４までしかないのでちょっとさみしい感じがしましたが、
このアルバムは１２曲のボーナストラックトラックがあり、デビュー期に欠かせない重要な曲ばかりなので大変お得です。
（特に７・１３・１９などが。個人的には１・３・１６・１７が初々しいので好き。１５のデビュー曲はある意味生々しい。）
自分は、ベスト盤を聞いてからファーストを聞きました。
その方が無難ではありますが、これだけトラックがあるので７の「ユー・リアリー・ガット・ミー」を聴きたいからってことであれば、いきなり聴いてもいいと思いますよ！
もう４０年近く前の音源なので今のような重さはなく、軽く聞こえるかもしれません。
しかしながら「ユー・リアリー・ガット・ミー」や１９の「オール・オブ・ザ・ナイト」が時代を超えた名曲であることは納得してもらえると思います。

「１９５５年から６４年の１位は、英国ロックの草分け的存在キンクスの「ユー・リアリー・ガット・ミー」で、「シー・ラブズ・ユー」「プリーズ・プリーズ・ミー」のビートルズの２曲を抑えた」・・・このニュースを見て、この曲やキンクスに興味を持った方もいるかと思います。
で、この名曲が入っているのが、キンクスのデビューアルバムがこれです。
今聞いてもこの曲は名曲で、ヴァンヘイレンをはじめ様々な人にカバーされるのは判る気がします。
ただし1960年代のアルバムですので、かなりメローに聞こえてしまいます。
もっとハードに聞きたい場合は、その後に発売されているライブ等をお勧めします。
このアルバムはこの曲以外にも今でもライブで演奏される、名曲「ストップ・ユア・ソビング」も収録されています。
この曲もプリテンダースにカバーされて、８０年代以後にも注目を集めた曲です。
今聞くといかんせん古い！っていう印象が強いですので、キンクス初心者にはベスト版の”To　The　Bone"をお勧めしたいです。
しかし古いアルバムで、曲調も古いですが名盤であるには変わりません。
このアルバムには１２曲ものおまけの古い曲が入っているので、お買い得感があるとも思います。
