メロディーが口ずさめるような曲で無いと、日本ではメジャーになりにくいのかもしれないが、もっと知名度が上がっても良いと思える名曲である。そしてヒラリーハーンは、この曲の美質を良く伝えている。3楽章のカデンツァなど難しいパッセージでも、音がうまく「あたる」ので、聴いていて気持ちが良いのである。それは単にテクニックだけではない音楽性の高さの現れであり、24歳で示した「円熟」というものの一つの形であろう。将来にわたっても、若き日の金字塔となることは間違い無いと思われる。直輸入の国内発売版を買った方は、ヒラリー自身のライナーノーツを読まれる事をお薦めする。この曲や、音楽そのものに対する洞察の深さに、私など恥かしくてレビューなど書けなくなるが（笑）。しかし国内版は何故こうも高いのか。ライナーノーツと解説の翻訳だけで1,000円も上乗せされるとは。

休日の朝にTrack4をよく聴く。SACDはダイナミックレンジが広いので大胆に音量を大きくして。起伏の大きな楽曲はいつ聴いても高揚感と安息感を同時にもたらしてくれる。ハーンの名演をいつも当たり前のように聴ける環境にあることを、改めて幸福に感じる。韓国のフィギュアスケーターがある年のシーズンに採用してもう少し有名になるかと思ったがそれほどでもなかったのが少し嬉しい。
