壊れて散り散りになった世界を繋ぎ止めるように歌を、物語を紡ぐ新世紀の吟遊詩人、七尾旅人。ここ最近では石野卓球や空気公団のアルバムに参加したり、はたまたスーパーカーのツアーに同行したりと、相思相愛なコラボレーションが続いていた彼だが、前作から1年ぶりとなる本作は長尺の2曲(うち1曲はスーパーカーの中村弘二とフルカワミキが参加した歌劇)を収録したCDと40分にわたる自主制作映像「うたぐるい」を収めたDVDの2枚組。フリー・フォームなサウンドと言葉が織りなす宇宙はあまりに美しく圧倒的で言葉を失う。大傑作!! (小野田雄) --- 2004年10月号

まず一番最初にこれを聞いて少し戸惑った。また新しいことを七尾旅人がやっちゃったから。というのも作品ごとに違うことをやっていくので追いつけないのだ。まあそれも一つの楽しみなのだが。あとＤＶＤはこれまでの曲を知ってから見てもらいたい。初めて七尾を経験する人はちょっとビックリしそう。入門辺には向かないかな。
というわけで☆が三つなのは私がまだ理解できてないだけで。

曲について詳しいことは下の方が書いてくれてますね。フルカワミキチャンがキュートです。

~一曲目「マイ・ファースト・チャーント」は、エレクトロニカの傑作。二曲目「それでも地球は歌っている」は、うた、という形式に対して挑戦的な内容。両曲ともに、スーパーカーの中村弘二とフルカワミキが参加して、いい味をだしています。
おまけのDVDですが、４０分にわたる映像作品になっています。七尾旅人がデジカメでとった映像を編集しているので、画~~じたいが良いというわけではないですが、とった素材をつなぎあわせて物語にしていくなかで、彼の才能がひしひしと伝わってきます。
すべての人におすすめというわけではないですが、シングルの価格でこのボリュームはかなりのお買い得だと思います。~
