4.0 out of 5 stars オールドスタンダードにこだわった若手の色香ただようアルバム, 2004/9/8
やっと出た！　都内・近郊のジャズクラブ、ホテルラウンジなどで
ひっぱりだこの若手ジャズシンガーの彼女。ＣＤはいつ出るのかなと
待ちに待ったけど、ようやく出ましたね~。

今回のアルバムは、いい意味で“裏切られた”感じがする。
頭のジャスト・ア・ジゴロをはじめ、ミディアムスロー中心のナンバー。

ふだん、彼女はライブでTwistedのようなバップ曲もバリバリに歌うから、そうした個性を前面に出すかと思っていたら、違った。
大人の恋を歌ったエレガントな（あるいはレイジーな）、そして切ないバラードがアルバムの基調となっている。

しかも、彼女の声、歌はそうした曲調に溶け込んでいる。おそらく彼女の歌を初めて聴く人は、最初のうちは彼女がまだ20代の若手シンガーであるとは思えないんじゃないかな。今の若手シンガーの多くはジャズスタンダードのほか、ソウルミュージックなどもレパートリーに入れているけど、彼女は“ド・ジャズ”ですね。彼女の声やノリからは、スティーヴィー・ワンダーのような曲はあまり想像できない。
オールド・スタンダードが似合う。けど、見た目はまだまだ“挑発的なガール”という感じで、そのギャップがたまらない。ゆったりとした曲は退廃的な美も匂わせている。

Let's Do It　や　Tea For Tow　それからThe One みたいな軽快な曲もいい。キュートな香りは、なぜか、ちょっとマリリン・モンローを連想させる…（自分だけかな）。

共演する植松良高（ds)トリオの演奏は、スローナンバーが多いから、細やかなドラミングやベースの動きもよく聞こえて楽しめる。ピアノの吉岡さんはファンキーという印象が強いが、ここではさすがの洗練されたピアノを聞かせてくれる。

ひとつ注文を言うとすれば、歌詞カードがあるとうれしい（訳詞があるともっとうれしい）。いい歌が多いから、聴いているうちに歌詞の内容が知りたくなるはずだから。

美人ｼﾞｬｹｯﾄ収集家の新たなｺﾚｸｼｮﾝに加わることは間違いない容姿。
小粋な歌い振りが場数を踏んでいることを窺わせる。
どちらかといえばｱﾙﾊﾞﾑｺﾝｾﾌﾟﾄに合わせて、全体に抑え気味に自己表現
している感もあるが、その声は充分に魅力的で味がある。
吉岡秀晃らのｻﾎﾟｰﾄもﾂﾎﾞを心得ており、安心して聴いていられる。

もっとﾋｰﾄｱｯﾌﾟする部分もあって良いように思うが、
本盤に関しては品の良さや声の筋の良さを紹介することに重きを於いた
選曲がなされているのだろう。
次作以降で真価を問われることになろうが
まだうら若い容姿に似合わぬJAZZっぽい歌、雰囲気が良い意味で
期待を裏切るﾐｽﾏｯﾁであり、そこからどう自分の色を出していくのか、

期待と不安の入り混じる「処女航海」といったところ。
