ジャズ系ジャム・バンド、urb(アーブ)のセカンド・ミニ・アルバム。ジャズをベースにして、R&B、ドラムンベース、ラテンなどが、新世代ならではの感覚で混合された音楽が展開する。ポスト・フュージョンといえる音楽でもある。曲はすべてメンバーのオリジナル。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

日本人6人組のジャズ・ファンク・バンド。このセカンド・ミニ・アルバムでも、即興を適度に織り込んだグルーヴィなインストを披露している。ドラムンベースのビートを採用した曲は洗練された味わいだが、むろんこれも引き出しのひとつにすぎないのだろう。新世代らしいクールなヴィジョンは各曲でうかがえる。とはいえ、2曲収録されたライヴ音源では、バンド全体のモッサリしたリズム感がスタジオ・テイクよりもはっきり出ており、かつてのアシッド・ジャズにないひたむきさを感じたりも。そろそろ歌ものはどうでしょうか。 (橘淳之介) --- 2004年08月号

「urb」新進気鋭の日本のclubJazz系のJamband。今までは、PEZZ等のclubJazz系バンドはもちろんのこと、注目されにくいジャンルではある、が！海外では今大変注目されている系統のジャンル、そこで、urb,,の２ndアルバムと前作のミニアルバムと違う点は、
１．ライブ音源を入れたこと（ジャムバンドならではの醍醐味が感じられる！）

２．曲のアレンジは全体的には方向性の変化は感じられないが、ラテンのリズムを取り入れたりと、幅の広がりが感じられる
３．音の細かさ等はライブ音源も含まれているので正直必ずしも良いとは言えない、しかしながら、前作と変わらずクールでアグレッシブな演奏がこのミニアルバムにぎっしり詰まった音の玉手箱の様な作品。
